Daybreak Press announces:
Through the Longing Daze Poems by Siobhan (click here to hear Siobhan read) Daze gets high praise from the critics at Illinois Times! Praise for Siobhan’s Poetry: “These are poems that entice the reader’s imagination. Siobhan’s verse reaches through everyday experience to poetic comfort and inner-harmony. Fearlessly honest poems like ‘Conditioning the Conditioner’, ‘Last Dance’, and ‘Ruined Silk’ probe what lies behind our idle daydreams, while sensual poems like ‘Ritual in Oceanus Blue’ and ‘On the Subtlety of Lust vs Desire’ reaffirm Siobhan Pitchford as one of the most provocative erotic voices you’re apt to find.” Dr. Eugene Wiley A scholar's view of Daze: This essay graciously forwarded by Ethan Lewis, PhD, Assistant Professor of English at the University of Illinois at Springfield. Need a speaker? Poet? CQI consultant? Siobhan has a tremendous track record as a motivational speaker, organizational consultant, and process consultant. Her specialty is process consultation with emphasis in planning and accountability.

9 July 2005 -- The Vachel Lindsay Home reading was a resounding success. Our thanks to all who attended this packed-house event. Siobhan gave an energetic, moving, and sometimes humorous presentation that drew plenty of attention and applause from a heat-lulled crowd. She was joined in the reading by David Pitchford, her co-author for the upcoming Dialogue project. 2 October 2004 -- Springfield's WQNA radio. Siobhan read from her book and discussed the capitol area's poetry scene. One highlight of the conversation surrounded Siobhan's talent for reading and someone's assertion that Siobhan has "a voice for radio"; Siobhan's presentation is exemplary for a dramatic reading style that remains 'in the zone' without pushing the limits, she is very conscious of her audience at all times.
Especially sensual, and often sensuous, Siobhan's verse thrives on the tensions
inherent in loneliness, longing, and fulfillment - either through the life of
the mind or those moments of life in which our senses are filled with the
external to the extent to which loneliness is forgotten.
